Use realistic peak occupancy
For a public-facing facility, the design scenario should distinguish employees from visitors and consider periods when occupancy is materially higher than a daily average. The applicable design basis must be confirmed for the specific project.
Wayfinding is part of shelter usability
- clear routes from public zones and parking levels;
- visible multilingual or universally understandable signs where appropriate;
- accessible routes for people with limited mobility;
- avoidance of conflicts between incoming groups;
- staff roles for directing visitors during an alert;
- access to sanitary and engineering areas without blocking circulation.
Compare offers on the same scope
A structure-only quotation should not be compared directly with a package that includes design, logistics, earthworks, engineering systems, internal fit-out, commissioning and documentation. Structure the project budget and procurement scope before comparing headline prices.
