Why a supplier reference to DBN is not enough
DBN is not a catalogue of ready-made products. It provides a regulatory framework that a qualified project team applies to a specific facility, site, capacity, protective requirement and engineering context.
A commercial statement such as 'complies with DBN' should therefore be supported by project documentation and by evidence for the structure and engineering systems included in the proposed scope.
Use the current official edition
The Ukrainian construction system publishes the document and its amendments through the official electronic construction environment. Do not rely on an old PDF copy when preparing a current project or procurement package.
ShelterMetric intentionally does not reproduce the complete normative text in English. The English page is a project-navigation aid; the current Ukrainian document is the source that must be checked for actual requirements.
What an international project team should keep separate
- regulatory category of the facility;
- capacity and user groups;
- site and existing-building constraints;
- protective and engineering requirements;
- supply scope versus construction and installation scope;
- testing, commissioning and acceptance documentation.
